Privacy Policy
What data the service collects, why, to whom it is transferred, how long it is stored and what rights clients have.
1. Who processes the data
The data controller is the JobHunter service administration (the “Service”). This Policy describes processing of data of Service clients and website visitors.
2. What data we collect
- account data: name, email address, password hash (the password itself is never stored in plain text), interface language, registration date, and the fact and time of accepting the documents;
- profile data: desired position, experience, summary, skills, languages, salary range and currency, work format, cities, countries, resume and portfolio links, keywords;
- service working data: matched vacancies, letters, application queue and statuses, notifications, technical event log (including platform runs);
- technical data: time of the last activity in the client area, IP address and request data needed for security and abuse prevention;
- data you provide voluntarily when contacting support.
3. Why we process data
- to provide the Service: matching vacancies, preparing letters, queuing and sending applications within the plan;
- to operate the client area, calculate the plan, track limits and access terms;
- to generate cover letters, including with a third-party language model;
- to notify about service operation and about the end of the trial or plan;
- to ensure security and prevent abuse and fraud;
- for aggregated website statistics.
4. Legal bases
- performance of the contract with the client — the main processing needed for the Service to work;
- consent — analytics cookies and, where required, specific purposes; consent can be withdrawn;
- legitimate interest — security, abuse prevention, service availability;
- compliance with legal requirements.
5. To whom data is transferred
Data is not sold and not shared for advertising. The Service relies on processors — infrastructure and service providers:
- cloud database (data hosting outside the client's country of residence);
- the server hosting the website and running background jobs;
- a language model provider that receives the vacancy text and profile data to compose a letter;
- a web analytics service collecting aggregated visit statistics.
6. Transfers outside your country
Some processors are located in other countries, so data may be transferred outside the client's country of residence. Transfers are made under processor agreements and with the safeguards available from those providers.
7. How long we keep data
- account and profile data — while the account exists;
- after account deletion related data (profile, matches, letters, application queue) is deleted with it;
- technical logs and event records are kept for a limited time — no longer than needed for security and operation;
- records of acceptance of the documents may be kept longer as proof of consent.
8. Client rights
Requests are made through the support channel indicated in the client area.
- to obtain information about processing of your data and a copy of it;
- to correct inaccurate data;
- to delete data and the account;
- to restrict and object to processing;
- to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- to receive data in a portable format;
- to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your country of residence.
9. Cookies and analytics
The website uses strictly necessary cookies (for example, for signing in and for the chosen theme) and analytics cookies for aggregated visit statistics. Details are in the separate “Cookies” document.
10. Security
Passwords are stored only as irreversible hashes, access to data is restricted, and traffic between the browser and the website is encrypted. In the event of an incident affecting client data, the Administration notifies clients and, where required, the supervisory authority.
11. Age
The Service is not intended for persons under 18. We do not knowingly collect their data; if discovered, such data is deleted.
12. Changes to this Policy
A new edition is published on this page with its date. Material changes are additionally reflected in client area notifications.
You can reach the administration through the support channel in the client area.
By registering and paying for a plan, the client accepts this public offer and the privacy policy.
